Shots of Courage

For the past few months COURAGE has been a frequent topic of conversation at the Morello's House...

Today, Elizabeth went to the doctor to get her 1 year check-up and shots. The last few times she has cried as soon as her doctor walks in, but I was very proud of her for holding her tears in until he actually started to look in her ears. I think all of the doctor visits we have has made Elizabeth a little more in tune to what is going to happen to her. After the doctor left the room I got her settled down and she fell asleep. Oh no! I thought this was the worst thing because the nurse was going to come in and give her shots. I was right! However, Elizabeth is a trooper. She did cry, I did give her tylenol (helps her not cry for long), and I did hold her, but by the time we walked to the front desk to make her next appointment she was fine. She even chose a sticker to take home. Elizabeth showed that she is courageous...

My Mom Lesson: Do not be so shocked when my one year old (who has always been a trooper) passes her 1 year shots with flying colors!
